All Types Of Radios

Radio is an apparatus that transmits signals by modulation of electromagnetic waves with frequencies under those of visible light. It has a device called a transmitter that receives electromagnetic waves in air. Electromagnetic waves are formed when the electric and magnetic fields intersect at one point. The radio detects this as a signal and then transforms it into sounds.

Radio has become a big part of our daily lives. We all love music and we like to hear our favorite songs while we do our usual routine, like driving, doing laundries, or cooking. We use it as an alarm to wake us up in the morning. This device is also integrated in cordless phones, monitors, mobile phones, satellites and radars.

It is indispensable for real time communication among the police force, firemen, military, stockbrokers and other big commercial industries. It is incorporated in computers that make possible internet communications between two people of miles apart.

Radios come in all sizes and shapes. There are small AM/FM or “Walkman” radios and there are also radios that were designed sophisticated. The more modern designs have features that include a multi-mode transceiver. This feature combines a transmitter and receiver in one unit. The most regular modes for a broadcast radio are AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation).
Aside from the usual phones and computers, now we also see radio pens, as key chains, in cars and other vehicles. It has greatly involved that many people now do not know how it started. The history of radios is very interesting though.
